Choose Your Aircraft!
Madison County Ultralights is the only ultralight
flight school in the Tennessee Valley offering you a choice of aircraft
type: trike, fixed wing, or powered parachute. Take
a flight in each, if you need help making up your mind. Learn
to fly them all if you like.
Two Instructors
Madison County Ultralights is the only ultralight
flight school in the Tennessee Valley with multiple instructors. This
gives you more scheduling flexibility with your training and gives you
a well-rounded flying education. Both
instructors are ASC (Aero Sports Connection) certified Basic Flight Instructors
with years of ultralight flying and training experience. They
even spent a couple of years teaching students to fly hang gliders.
Ultralight-Safe Airport
Madison County Ultralights conducts flight
training at a small, quiet airport in Hazel Green, Alabama. The runway
is 3,000' long with a nice, smooth paved surface. The
air traffic at the airport is very light. On
some days, we have the entire place to ourselves all day long. This
makes for low stress flying for the beginner, who might otherwise be distracted
by other air traffic.
Safe Equipment & Instructors
Your safety is our primary
concern in all our flight training operations. We
keep our aircraft and equipment in excellent operating condition, and all
our trainer aircraft (except the powered parachute) are equipped with ballistic emergency parachutes. Also,
you'll always be in communication with your flight instructor via a helmet-mounted
intercom system. We'll teach
you not just how to fly... but how to fly safely. We
take pride in producing safe pilots.
